Welcome to IVPAI2023

2023 the 5^th International Conference on Image, Video Processing and Artificial Intelligence (IVPAI2023) will be held on December 14-15, 2023 in Shenzhen, China. IVPAI achieved its success in the past 4 years (2018-2021). In the past 4 years, IVPAI attracted more than 7000 applications and 2000 attendees. IVPAI2023 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of image, video processing and artificial intelligence to a common forum.

IVPAI aims to present a collection of high-quality research articles and presentations that address broad challenges on both theoretical and application aspects of artificial intelligence in image & video processing. We invite colleagues to contribute original research articles as well as present the latest research outputs that will stimulate the continuing effort on the application of artificial intelligence approaches to solve image & video processing problems.

IVPAI 2023 will have all sessions in a single track. The following sessions are planned:
· Keynote speeches
· Invited speeches
· Oral presentation sessions
· Poster sessions

Shenzhen is located on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary, just across the river from Hong Kong. It is a coastal city in southern China and an area where China's reform, opening up, and modernization were pioneered. From 1979 to 2018, Shenzhen developed from a border town with a population of just over 30,000 and two or three small streets to a city with a population of tens of millions, prosperous economy, innovative fashion, harmonious society, complete functions and beautiful environment. Modern cities have created miracles in the history of world industrialization, urbanization, and modernization.

It is a very good start for IVPAI2018-2021 to start by Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to provide a leading international forum that brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse fields with the purpose of exploring the fundamental roles, interactions as well as practical impacts of Artificial Intelligence.
